BASIC INFORMATION
Ireland is an island nation in Western Europe, covers most of the island of Ireland. It is an autonomous state, which is a member of the European Union. The capital of Ireland is Dublin. The applicable currency is Euro. The climate in Ireland is moderately warm. The official language of Ireland is officially Irish, however, English is also in common use.

SYSTEM
Ireland is a parliamentary democracy. Its legal system is based on case law and legislation passed by parliament in accordance with the constitution. the head of the state is the president.
Ireland regained independence from Great Britain in 1921. Ultimately in 1937 the Irish Constitution entered into force, pursuant to which the State of Ireland was created, which is valid to this day.
W 1955 Ireland became a member of the United Nations on year, and in 1973 joined the European Union. Name
Irish Constitution z 1937 year states, that the official name of the country is Éire (in Irish) and Ireland (in English language). These names are used when signing international agreements and association treaties. The Irish name Poblacht na hÉireann or the English version Republic of Ireland is also used to describe the country (Republic of Ireland).

RELIGION
There is an official separation between church and state in Ireland, and the constitution forbids the promotion of one religion. The Irish Roman Catholic Church remains the largest religious community in Ireland. The traditional patrons of Ireland are Saint Patrick and Saint Bridget of Kildare.
